Chicken And Dumplings

1 Whole Chicken
Water, Enough to cover the chicken while boiling
1 Large Onion
2 Stalks Celery (Optional)
1 baby of Baby Carrots

1 Cup Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 Cup Milk
2 Tbls. Butter, cut into chunks

Boil the Chicken with your onion and celery for 1 1/2 hours.  Remove Chicken and clean off all the meat. Return the meat to the pot and add your carrots. Boil for 30 minutes or until carrots are soft. While you are waiting for your carrots to cook mix all the dry ingredients for your dumplings. cut in the butter and stir in the milk. In the last 10 minutes add your rice and drop your dumpling mix by teaspoon fulls into the pot. Boil for 10 minutes and serve!
